It seems that more Armenian journalists are attacked in Armenia than anywhere else...

ARMENIA, By Liana Sayadyan
Overview
Every year since 2002 the international human rights organization Freedom House has placed Armenia in the category of countries where the media is not free. In its report for 2006 Freedom House said: “Although there is a good amount of media diversity and pluralism, some major broadcast media maintain a pro-government bias, and there is no independent public broadcaster. Most newspapers are privately owned but are dependent on support from business conglomerates or political interests.”

The following is an excerpt of a Turkish-American who attended a lecture given by Richard Hovannisian, an Armenian scholar who focuses on recognition of the Armenian genocide.
On Sunday when I arrived at FAU where R.Hovannisian's second lecture would take place, one of our friends was standing at the door with a big poster with pictures of all murdered diplomats. Just as I arrived one Armenian woman said to her "more should have been killed"!
Some people keep trying to equate people who dismiss the Armenian Genocide label because of lack of evidence, with people who generally deny genocides with the intent to hate and promote racism. There is a difference.
It is always wonderful to see Armenian terrorist leaders and their advocates the ANCA in Congress, who are all under the umbrella organization called the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaks) who caused many massacres in the events PRIOR to 1915 and after. They were also the leading organization to help fight the Nagorno Karabakh Invasion against Azerbaijan together with Armenian Armed Forces.
How does a terrorist get to be a historian?
His major is sociology, and it is obvious from his interviews that he was more interested in terrorist activities than socialism during his studies. In a recent interview, he explains "how difficult it was to live in poverty in Germany, especially for people like him who were preparing to manage parts of a country". People who were preparing to manage parts of a country?!? For anybody without knowledge of Turkey's background, this sounds like a politician in refuge. However, Dev-Sol, the militant organization he is talking about, never had popular support in Turkey, not more than a few percent. If he was realistically considering "managing parts of a country", he is talking about using violent means to get there.
According to MIPT website, there had been 84 incidents involving ASALA leaving 46 people dead, and 299 people injured including the following:
February 16, 1976 in Turkish Embassy in Beirut, Oktar Cirit was killed.
So last I heard was that this issue would not be followed up on.
I know Jon Stuart of the Daily Show has made fun of American hypocrisy at issues like the Native Indians and enslavement of Africans in comparison to Congress talking about the Armenian genocide resolution. But he also criticized Bush for supporting Turkey. He also made fun of NPR for naming one of their articles "NPR: Turkey Fight Bill Genocide", which clearly shows the intelligence level of people working there.
